In Ayurveda, it is important to start your morning with the practice of tongue scraping. Toxins and bacteria live in the mouth area and if we do not remove them, the tongue will reabsorb the toxins into the body. This can cause imbalances that could affect digestion, immunity, and skin.
Before brushing your teeth, use a tongue scraper or even your toothbrush, gently place it on the back of your tongue. Apply gentle pressure as you move it forward to scrape the bacteria from your tongue. Repeat for 10 times.
Oil pulling has been raved by many wellness advocates for its ability to improve oral health, the jaw, and gums, remove bad breath, stains, and whiten teeth. It also helps remove oil-soluble toxins that are sitting in the mouth, assisting in the production of saliva which helps with proper digestion.
Swish around 1 tbsp of oil, you can use Coconut Oil, Sesame Oil, or Almond Oil for 10-20 minutes.
Drink Room Temperature or Warm Water
According to Ayurveda, when we drink ice-cold water, it slows the entire body system including blood flow. In the long run, it can affect your digestive process, metabolism, and sometime lead to constipation. Opt for room temperature water or warm water as it helps to minimize bloating issues and metabolism concerns.

It helps to stimulate your lymphatic system, which removes the buildup of toxins away from the tissue, helps to reduce cellulite, and exfoliate dead skin cells.

It is believed that you shouldn’t put anything on your body that you wouldn’t consume. Opt for oils that are light and fast absorbing like our Ritual Body Oil, which has a blend of 7 organic oils to help deeply penetrate the layers of the skin, that results in soft, hydrated, and glowing skin.
Warm a few drops body oil into the palm of your hands and apply to the skin starting at the legs and work your way up towards the arms, abdomen, and chest.
